In musical instrument terms, a xylophone is a wood based or wooden instrument while a glockenspiel is a plastic based instrument. Over time the two terms have been blended together in practical understanding. We have used both words so as not to miss out any customers searching for one or the other, but this product on this page is officially a xylophone.

Keys or notes are the metal pieces on top of the frame of a xylophone / glockenspiel.
The 25 note / 27 note / 30 note and 32 note xylophones are quite similar except for a few notes different on each.
The more notes, the more options however we have found that the 27 note is the most favoured mixture of affordability, size, note variance and sound variance.
