Veteran WearWearing medals and ribbons arent just for weddings, funerals, and parades. You should feel comfortable about wearing your medals and ribbons outside of formal events. In 2007 the Veterans Affairs Secretary released a press release, titled Veterans Pride Initiative, calling on veterans to begin wearing military medals and ribbons on patriotic holidays and days of remembrance, such as the 4th of July, Veterans and Memorial Day. It was a call to action for veterans to express their pride, remember their service, and to value their medals and ribbons as accomplishments, memories, and sacrifices. |

"Remember the Service, Honor the Sacrifice"
In 1976 Medals of America was created by Army Vietnam Veteran Colonel Frank Foster and his wife Linda Foster.
Army Veteran Captain Lee Foster, CEO, is the second generation Foster at Medals of America, and 9th generation Veteran in his family.
Frank was inspired by the hunt for his fathers WWII medals and contact with the French Government for a French Croix De Guerre Medal. After many requests from their friends for shadow boxes for their Veteran relatives, Frank and Linda Foster were in business.
Since then, Medals of America has expanded from a closet, to a room, to a basement, to a small office, and continued to grow until we reached an 80,000 square foot facility where we house our products.
We strive to honor, and inspire, active duty, retired, veterans, and their loved ones.
Medals of America has been helping veterans and their families create, mount, and display shadow boxes for over 40 years. Shadow boxes proudly display the rich military history, bravery, patriotism, and courage it takes to defend our nation’s freedom. With those years of combined Army, Navy, Marine, Air Force, and Coast Guard experience in the shadow box and insignia business we have the tools and knowledge to create the shadow box you need.
