OPERATING INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Find the engines timing mark and clean all grease and dirt from the mark and pointer with a cloth. Use chalk or white paint to mark the imprints for easier visibility.
2. Refer to the manufacturers specifications to determine the correct timing for engine maintenance.
3. Start and run the engine until it reaches normal operating temperature, then turn it off. Run for approximately 15 minutes.
4. Connect the timing light, aligning the power clamp of the timing light with the positive and negative poles of the battery. (Red for positive, black for negative)
5. Clamp the inductive clamp onto the high-voltage line of the NO.1 cylinder, ensuring the clamp is completely closed.
6. Make sure the engine maintains a steady idle speed and align the timing light with the timing mark.
7. Trigger the timing indicator light and observe the reading of the timing mark.
8. Compare the reading obtained in step 7 with the data provided by thed manufacturer to confirm. If the timing is not within the specified parameters, stop the engine and readjust the engine timing mechanism.
