Package Includes:

  • 1 x V3 Extension Board
  • 4 x Drivers
  • 4 x Heat Sinks

CNC Shield Expansion Board V3.0 CNC Shield Expansion Board V3.0

CNC Expansion Board:

  • Version: V3.0
  • Size: 68 x 53 x 18mm / 2.67 x 2.08 x 0.7"
  • Voltage: DC 12V to 36V (only DRV8825 driver can handle up to 36V, so please consider voltage for power supply)
  • The V3.0 expansion board can be used as a drive expansion board for engraving machines, 3D printers, etc. There are a total of 4 slots for stepper motor drive modules, which can drive 4 stepper motors, and each stepper motor only needs 2 IO ports, that is to say, 6 IO ports can manage 3 steppers The motor is more convenient to use.
  • Experimental phenomenon: The stepper motor reverses one circle, pauses for 1 second, and then rotates forward one circle, and so on.
  • Note that when connecting the A4988 module, do not connect it backwards. The wiring of the stepper motor is: 2A, 2B are a group (red, green); 1A, 1B are a group (blue, yellow). If you want to change the direction, you can change the position of one group, such as swapping 2A and 2B.

4pcs A4988 Driver:

  • Size: 20 x 15mm / 0.78 x 0.59"
  • Thermal Shutdown Circuit: Yes
  • Cross Current Protection: Yes
  • Ground Fault Protection: Yes
  • Short Circuit Protection: Yes
  • Compatible Logic Voltage: 3.3V and 5V
  • Five Step Modes: Full, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8 and 1/16
  • Mix with slow current attenuation model.
  • Internal UVLO and low RDS (on) output.
  • Automatic current attenuation mode Detection/Select.
  • Phase-in rectifier, low power consumption.
  • Warning: Connecting or disconnecting stepping motor while driver is powered on might damage driver.
  • In terms of power supply, we connect the +5V power supply terminal between the logic voltage of the device VDD and GND, and we need to connect 8-15V (DC) between the motor power supply VMOT and GND.
  • Three mode selection terminals: MS1, MS2, MS3, full step mode (200 steps or one step for one revolution), if higher accuracy is required, you can select other modes, such as if you choose 1 /4 step mode, then the motor needs to send 800 microsteps to complete one revolution.
