Feature

●Metric Taps: Thread Size: M6; Pitch: 0.75; Shank Side Width: 5mm / 0.2 inch; Thread Length: 23mm / 0.91 inch; Total Length: 58mm / 2.28 inch
●Tap Set: Taper Style: Starts the thread square with the workpiece. Bottoming Tap: Generate threads to the bottom of holes. Add appropriate tapping oil for higher quality threads and more durable screw taps.
●Wide Applications: The thread tap kit is used to re-thread damaged or jammed threads. Suitable for tapping through or shallow holes in mild steels, aluminum, iron, copper, hard plastic.
●Hand Taps: Mainly for hand use, used with tap wrenches. Straight flute tap provides fast downward chip removal for efficient threading, clear threads without burrs, universal square shank.
●9SiCr Steel Taps: 9SiCr steel is a commonly used low alloy tool steel with high hardening capacity, high wear resistance and low speed cutting.

Description

TapsTaps

Information

Taps can be divided into straight flute thread taps, spiral flute thread taps, spiral point thread taps and thread forming taps. They are also divided into hand taps and machine taps according to the usage.

Hand taps are operated by tap wrenches. Machine taps are suggested to be used with tap collets with overload protection, and hand use or electric drills use is easy to cause breakage to the tap.

Metric Hand Taps

Taper /Bottom Tap

Taper Tap: Start the thread and guide it into the workpiece, commonly used when tapping through holes. Bottom Tap: Generate threads close to the bottom of a blind hole.

Straight Flute Tap

Thread tap provides fast downward chip removal for efficient threading, clear threads without burrs, universal square shank.

Uncoated Tap

Uncoated taps provide good cutting performance and can be used for threading a wide range of applications.

9SiCr Alloy Tool Steel

  • Offer excellent hardness, toughness and wear resistance for durability and long-lasting performance.

Wide Applications

The hand tap set is used to re-thread damaged or jammed threads, or to create new threads. Suitable for tapping through or shallow holes in mild steels, aluminum, iron, copper, hard plastic.

The tap set is mainly for hand use, and is used with a tap wrench. Apply appropriate cutting lubricant or oil during the tapping process for higher quality threads and more durable screw taps.

Tips

Ensure proper alignment, use proper tapping technique, and apply consistent pressure as you turn the tap to achieve clean, precise threads. Periodically reverse while tapping to break up chips and remove debris from the flutes, preventing clogging and ensuring smooth operation.
