Hornwort Ceratophyllum Demersum

Hornwort plants are easy to grow and grow at a rapid rate. Also known as Ceratophyllum Demersum, these plants are commonly used when breeding fish or shrimp to help provide natural cover. Do keep in mind hornwort plants are sensitive and will shed or drop leaves a lot initially when transplanted or when a change is made to their environment. Its best to rinse the plants off before putting them in your aquarium. Hornwort does best when put in the aquarium and left to float around, avoid planting as hornwort does not grow roots. You can leave a plant weight (completely aquarium safe) on the bottom to keep the plants up right at the bottom of the aquarium.
