●The VL53L0X time-of-flight range sensor is a next generation laser range module. The VL53LOX is a fully integrated sensor with embedded infrared, human eye safe laser, advanced filters and ultra high speed photon detection arrays for longer range, speed and accuracy.
●The VL53LOX ToF laser ranging module housed in the smallest package on the market today, providing accurate distance measurement whatever the target reflectance unlike conventional technologies. It can measure absolute distances up to 2m, setting a new benchmark in ranging performance levels, opening the door to various new applications.
●The VL53LOX integrates a leading-edge SPAD array (Single Photon Avalanche Diodes) and embeds second generation flight sense patented technology.
●The VL53LOXs 940nm VCSEL emitter (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser), is totally invisible to the human eye, coupled with internal physical infrared filters, it enables longer ranging distance, higher immunity to ambient light and better robustness to cover glass optical cross-talk.
●The sensing capability of the VL53LOX can support a wide range of functions including gesture or proximity detection for a variety of innovative user interfaces, obstacle detection and collision avoidance systems for floor sweepers and service robots, user presence detection or power on/off monitors for home appliances and laptops, as well as drones and Internet of Things (IoT) products.

PIN Description:
- VDD: Regulated 2.8 V output. Almost 150mA is available to power external components (If you want to bypass the internal regulator, you can instead use this pin as a 2.8 V input with VIN disconnected.).
- VIN: This is the main 2.6V to 5.5V power supply connection. The SCL and SDA level shifters pull the I2C lines high to this level.
- GND: The ground (0V) connection for your power supply. Your I2C control source must also share a common ground with this board.
- SDA: Level shifted IIC data line: High is VIN, low is 0V.
- SCL: Level shifted IIC clock line: High is VIN, low is 0 V.
- XSHUT: This pin is an low active shutdown input, the board pulls it up to VDD to enable the sensor by default. Driving this pin low puts the sensor into hardware standby. This input is not level shifted.
- GPIO1: Digital output. Interrupt output, open drain output.
