When camping in your RV you usually arent alone in the woods. You are usually around several other RVs. When there are a lot of RVs in a tight nit space while running generators the air can become filled with generator fumes, which can be quite stifling. This can be both uncomfortable as well as dangerous. Generator fumes contain carbon monoxide. Due to this the area where you are staying may require you to utilize a generator exhaust system. Our system is designed with 2 main functions; direct harmful generator exhaust fumes up and to dampen noise.
Generators can produce a significant amount of noise. It can be hard to think let alone carry on a conversation. This exhaust system helps reduce generator noise. Which in turn will make your experience all that more enjoyable.
This exhaust system is created with a heat-resistant tubing and a coupling that has a complete seal to your generator exhaust. This helps to direct your generator fumes up above your RV roofline. By doing so it allows the fumes to disperse higher in the air limiting the affect of the air at ground level. It can help reduce carbon monoxide at ground-level up to 98%.
Our RecPro RV Generator Exhaust System is compatible with almost any RV that is out there. We recommend that your exhaust tube ends at least six inches above your RV roofline.
This install job will be one of the easiest things you have ever done. Only requiring a few minutes, all the installation hardware is included.
Once you have measured the diameter of your exhaust pipe, you can choose the correct adapter. Install the mounting adapter over the exhaust pipes or the adapter, making sure the two holes are vertical. Them place the muffler clamp over the slotted ends and tighten. Using the D-clip, mount the stainless steel elbow. Then connect the remain tube sections to the lower section.
You are able to secure the top heat-resistant tubes by a rubber bungee. This bungee secures your tubes by attaching to two heavy-duty loop latches and s hooks.
