What is "Food Grade Stainless Steel" and why is it important?

"Food Grade Stainless Steel" is the only type of stainless steel that is durable in high temperature and/or high acidity environment and dont release toxic chemicals which makes them suitable for cookware and cutlery.

Does this mean other types of stainless steel are not good?

Not at all, Each type has a different use and good in their own field. As an example, the type of stainless steel use in a kitchen sink is perfect as while it does not use the same material, it means it makes them affordable for their purpose.

Can it be sterilized?

It is made from food grade stainless steel which makes them sterilisable as well as the plastic parts (such as the funnel)

Is this set dishwasher safe?

Yes it is. But please only on top shelf. And please be careful of the "lid lifter" as the magnet is not rust proof and needs to be dried soon as the wash is complete to prevent rust.
