●UTILITARIAN DESIGN - The factory oil pickup tube on LS engines is only secured by one bolt. This can potentially lead to a poor seal on the oil pump. Our aluminum Oil pump girdle solves the issue by placing a clamp on both sides of the tube, securely holding it in place.
●APPLICATION - Used when temporarily removing an oil pump (such as doing a cam swap), then re-installing the pump. Failure to properly align the oil pump may result in low oil pressure or pump failure. This girdle allows you to secure the pickup tube using both bolt holes to ensure proper oil circulation.

Installation Instructions:
Install the alignment tools above the existing oil pump (see pictures), then loosely tighten the tool bolts, slide the tools against the oil pump, then tighten the bolts to keep this position.
Next after doing your camshaft swap, re-install the oil pump, loosely tighten the oil pump bolts, then slide the oil pump up against the tools, then fully tighten the oil pump.
