Description

Our Earth Potential Grounding Rod is 20 inches long to ensure a good electrical connection. At 20 inches long, our grounding product grounding rod is far longer than most others on the market. The rod is fitted with a 40 foot long cable, long enough to ensure that you have a good earth connection to your grounding products even on the upper floors of your home. The grounding rod is for use with earthing grounding health products such as earthing sheets, wrist bands and mats. The rod can be used where the earth connection of your domestic power outlets is either poor or not connected, as in older homes. Your Earth Potential Grounding Rod needs to be installed in the ground outside, in a spot where it can be pushed safely into the ground. There is no requirement for how close or far from a building it should go, but be sure to pick a spot that is convenient for you to get to and where you will have space to push the grounding rod into the ground. Avoid locations where the ground is mostly rock or heavily compacted. The grounding rod has to be pushed into the ground so you need to avoid areas that are excessively rocky. Once the grounding rod is pushed into the ground, it will need to be connected to your Earth Potential grounding product inside your home or office. This is done with the 40ft wire supplied with your grounding rod. Its important to factor its route in when picking a spot for the grounding rod. Make sure the grounding cable can easily be routed to your grounding product either via the crack in a window left slightly ajar or under a door jam, or for a more permanent installation, via a hole drilled in the external wall. Connect the 4mm plug from your earthing product cable into the socket on the end of your grounding rod cable and everything is set for use. During periods of particularly dry weather it is useful to water the grounding rod to ensure it makes a good connection with the earth.
