Installation Steps

1.Gather your tools and materials. You will need: A drill、A drill bit that is the same size as the mounting holes on your cab lights、A screwdriver、Electrical tape、A wire crimper、A pair of wire strippers、Silicone sealant、The 3X cab lights you purchased、A relay kit (if your truck is older than 2000)

2.Clean the area where you will be drilling. Use a damp cloth to remove any dirt or debris from the roof of your truck.

3. Mark the location of the holes for your cab lights. Use a tape measure and a marker to mark three points on the roof of your truck that are evenly spaced. These points should be directly above the front, center, and rear cab corners.

4.Drill the holes for your cab lights. Use a drill bit that is the same size as the mounting holes on your cab lights. Be careful not to drill too deep, or you could damage the roof of your truck.

5.Install the cab lights.Screw the cab lights into the holes you drilled in the previous step.

6.Wire the cab lights.Connect the positive wire from each cab light to the positive battery terminal. Connect the negative wire from each cab light to a ground point on the truck.Use electrical tape to insulate all of the wire connections.

7. Connect the relay kit.If your truck is older than 2000, you will need to connect the relay kit to the cab lights.The relay kit will help to prevent the cab lights from overloading the trucks electrical system.

8.Seal the holes. Apply a bead of silicone sealant around the holes where you drilled the cab lights. This will help to prevent water from leaking into the truck.

9. Test the cab lights.Turn on the headlights of your truck and make sure that the cab lights come on. If they do not come on, check the wiring connections.

10. Some additional tips for installing.

(1)Make sure that the cab lights you purchase are compatible with your trucks make and model.

(2)If you are not comfortable drilling holes in the roof of your truck, you can purchase cab lights that do not require drilling.
