Q&A
Q: How do i know if the faucet has a gen 3 solenoid?
A: All models manufactured in 2015 or later will come with a Gen 3 solenoid. A Generation 3 solenoid will have a rectangular battery box, that would require you to take off a lid to access the batteries. If the white sticker on the front of the solenoid has a number that starts with an X000 number, it would be a Generation 3 solenoid.
Q: I plugged it in. It didnt work. Is there anything else that I supposed to do?
A: Please be sure to use the Power Supply with a 3-prong outlet that is not connected to a switch, such as for a garbage disposal. The faucet should operate with the Power Supply alone, but we recommend having batteries installed in case of a power outage, etc.
Q: Why do the instructions tell you to leave the batteries installed?
A: We recommend to keep the battery pack plugged in while the A/C Power Supply Adapter EP73954 is in use, as a back up. The battery pack does not have to be installed when using the AC adapter. However, it is recommended to keep it plugged up in the case there is a power outage, because if there is not enough power the faucet will not work.
