For drilling in tiles, pointed glass drills are most practical. Please take note that the proper application is crucial.

Instructions for Proper Use:

Pre-drilling the tiles properly

The prerequisite for an optimal result and longevity of the drills is good preparatory work. This begins with the punching of the drill hole. For this purpose, the smallest drill diameter is used to slowly and carefully make a small indentation in the ceramic/tile. Before doing this, we recommend that you mark the spot.

Drilling the hole

Place the selected drill bit securely on the grain. Then drill the hole in the ceramic with a slow speed and little pressure. The use of adhesive tape is a good trick to prevent the formation of cracks and scratches on the glaze tiles/ceramics. A piece of the tape is glued over and into the indentation.

The finishing is done at high speed. As soon as the drill has penetrated the tile, a masonry drill is ideally used for deep drilling. When drilling deep into materials that are not designed for the glass and tile drills, the tip becomes blunt more quickly.
