About GEARWRENCH

GEARWRENCH produced the original five-degree ratcheting wrench in 1996 and quickly became a go-to brand for professional automotive technicians. The innovation didn’t stop there. Year after year, the GEARWRENCH brand continues to expand its line—in ratcheting tools and beyond—to help automotive and industrial technicians get their jobs done faster and easier.

GEARWRENCH Original Ratcheting Wrenches

The GEARWRENCH ratcheting combination wrenches are the original patented ratcheting wrench! The ratcheting box end is designed to need as little as 5° to move fasteners versus 30° for standard wrenches. The wrenches are made from strong alloy steel with a bright, full polish chrome finish. The ratcheting box end features off-corner loading for a better grip on the fastener and reduces fastener rounding.

  • Superior strength
  • Sleek head design for access in tight spots
  • Full polish chrome finish

Improved Productivity

The GEARWRENCH ratcheting wrenches use as little as 5° on the box end to move fasteners versus 30° for standard wrenches. They allow the user to move a fastener with the speed and ease of a fine tooth ratchet.

Increased Strength

The off-corner loading design of the GEARWRENCH ratcheting wrenches provides a stronger grip on fasteners, as well as, reduces fastener rounding.

Innovating to Save You Time and Effort

GEARWRENCH is always focused on putting powerful, effective tools in your hands, with advantages like our pass-through technology for fitting the ratcheting box end down over long threaded rods.

Superior Accessability

GEARWRENCH has taken the design of the original 5° ratcheting wrench and shrunk it down to a stubby version allowing for greater access in tighter work areas. The stubby ratcheting wrenches provide the same strength as the standard ratcheting wrenches. The GEARWRENCH 85034 set offers the most common sizes of both the original and stubby lengths in SAE and metric sizes.
