NICHE ENGINE SHUTOFF VALVE

Usually located at the bottom of your motorcycles fuel tank, the petcock valve is an essential component in vehicle maintenance. It is made up of two different parts. The valve body that contains the flow of gas, and the control device that governs its rate. Together this component is used to control the flow of gas within your vehicle and generally has four different positions being ON, OFF, PRIME, or RESERVE depending on both the year and make of your motorcycle.

Different Positions:

  • ON is the position for standard operation.
  • OFF is the position for a parked motorcycle.
  • RESERVE is used when gas runs out while still in the ON position
  • PRIME is the position used when automatic vacuum shutoff needs to be bypassed.
