Steering Shaft Faulty Symptoms:

  • Strange Noise Strange popping or clunking sounds come from the steering wheel each time they turn it.
  • Turning Difficulty Sometime, there is sudden binding in the steering wheel, when you turn it. Then you have to put more strength into turning the wheel and this can be dangerous.
  • Steering wheel adjustment and turn-back faulty As the steering wheel position can be adjusted in most models, it should be able to lock after you’ve chosen the desired angle. A bad middle steering shaft will let it fail. Steering wheel will go back to middle automatically, after you turn it. Steering shaft faulty will also can’t do it.
