The display also has a self-dimming feature for easy night viewing. The temperature range is -99 to 150F ( -72 to 65C ). An ice warning feature flashes "ICE" on the display when external temperatures reach 34° F, and does not flash again until the sensor temperature rises above 37° F, and then back down to 34° F. Included with the digital car thermometer gauge is a 10 plug-in sensor. The tip of the sensor cable is often placed under the front bumper or on the side view mirror. The gauge requires 12vdc to run.
