Gently click the internal activation disc

  • The activation disc is the key to starting the reaction.
  • The clicker has a slight curvature in one direction and the best way to Snap the disk is to grab the edges and gently flex the middle of the disc to reverse the bend till it "SnapZ"
  • Once snapped, you will begin to see the crystals form. This is when the fun begins!

Recharge in boiling water

  • Once the heat is expended, your HotSnapZ can now be recharged!
  • The heat of the boiling water dissolves the crystals back to the original liquid state, storing the heat energy for later use.
  • Once all the crystals are dissolved, the product is now recharged and removed to cool. Once cooled, the clicker is then clicked to release the stored heat energy.

How hot do HotSnapZ reusable heat packs get?

The chemistry inside HotSnapZ is a safe and self-regulating reaction. The maximum internal temperature reaches 128-130F and typically 115-120F at the surface during normal use. The temperatures that HotSnapZ operate at are considered to be non-burning when used as directed. What is inside a HotSnapZ pack and how does it work?

HotSnapZ reusable hand warmers and heating pads contain water, a small metal disc and sodium acetate, a safe food grade salt ingredient. Click the click to release the heat. Once the heat is done, simply drop your HotSnapZ hand warmer or heat pad in gently boiling water for 5-10 minutes to recharge.

How many uses can I expect to get?

In theory, the number of times that a HotSnapZ can reused is infinite. However, the consequences of real life usually take their toll on HotSnapZ at some point via wear-n-tear, being torn, stepped on, forgotten in the boiling pan or having one of your friends walk off with them. So, we expect and tell the average user to expect 200-300+ uses if properly used and stored.

How long does the heat last?

Heat duration depends on the products size, how the product is used, & how well the product is insulated during use. Our larger Rectangles, Neck and Shoulder products are rated at 2+ hours of heat. Our green rectangular Pocket Warmers at 50-60 minutes each and 30-40 minutes for our Round Hand and Heart Hand Warmers. Extended heat times are achieved by having some extra ones in reserve! Remember....HotSnapZ are REUSABLE!
