For a better user experience, please take a moment to read the following guidelines carefully.
1、Can it reduce TDS value?
The Total Dissolved Solids (TDS) in water are primarily caused by soluble conductive minerals such as Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+, K+, and others. However, even if your water contains non-conductive harmful substances like chlorine, chloramine, organic compounds, nitrites, etc., in high quantities, they wont increase the TDS levels.
One of the most famous mineral waters in France has a TDS level as high as 350 ppm, yet it is considered one of the healthiest waters. Therefore, using TDS levels as a measure of water quality is not advisable. If you really want to significantly reduce TDS levels, the only options are reverse osmosis filters and water filters with ion exchange technology (such as water softeners and filter pitchers). However, its important to note that they are larger in size and provide only a very slow flow rate.
2、Why not recommend going for an RV filter with a transparent house?
Initially, we thought that the see-through design not only looked better but also made it easy to check on the condition of the internal filter. However, after being on the market for a while, we discovered that the transparent house tends to grow algae under photosynthesis. This not only fails to provide clean water but also leads to a deterioration in water quality, causing it to become murky and fostering bacteria. Additionally, the abundant growth of algae can clog up the filter and pipes, disrupting the normal operation of the filtration system.
3、How to prevent leaks at threaded connections?
We have equipped this product with a new type of sealing tape that offers superior sealing performance compared to traditional Teflon tape. In the product manual, we provide clear instructions with illustrations on the correct usage. By strictly following the instructions and properly wrapping the tape as directed, you can avoid leaks at threaded connections.
