1---Doubling relationship: The product has 4 modes: 01-02-03-04. Let’s be clear first. In modes 01, 02, 03, the speed value is doubled. 01, 02, 03 is a simple Multiple relationship.
For example, the same engine, the same idle signal, if read in 01 mode, assuming it is 1000RPM. If read in 02 mode, then it is 2000RPM. If read in 03 mode, then it will be 4000RPM. It is a doubling relationship. 04 is for reset. Yes, dont worry about it.
2---Stroke misunderstanding: Do not regard 02 mode as 2-stroke and 03/04 mode as 4-stroke. This is a misunderstanding. Because some 2-stroke engines are adapted to the 02 mode, and some 2-stroke engines are adapted to the 03 mode, it cannot be intuitively used to represent all 2-stroke engines with 02 and 03/04 with all 4-stroke engines. This is wrong.
3---Focus on the 02 mode: Customers should have a certain understanding of their own engines. For example, the approximate idle range of a motorcycle is 1000RPM. If the engine is hot, it will be around 1000RPM, then our tachometer will be connected. The default setting for the spark plug tube is 02 mode. If the reading data is 2000RPM, it is twice as large. Select mode 01, so that the display will be twice as small. If the data read in 02 mode happens to be around 1000RPM, then it corresponds. If the reading data in 02 mode is only about 500RPM, which is twice as small, then adjust it to 03 mode to make the display data twice as large. The reason why we dont use 02 to correspond to 2-stroke and 04 to 4-stroke is because there are many unconventional engines on the market, and one model cannot be fixed to suit all engines.
4---Tips: The alligator clip of the tachometer must clamp the spark plug tube to get a signal. Otherwise, the signal will be wrong if it is connected to other places. Customers must know that the alligator clip clamps the spark plug tube.
