For signal question you concern, below is some suggestions from the manufacturer

1.Keep the camera and monitor away 2-3 meters from other 2.4GHz electronic devices (e.g Microwave oven,15 meters from Wi-Fi router etc.)

2. Please keep the distance between the Wi-Fi devices and the camera as far as possible, the straight line 15 meters or more is the best.

3. If the Wi-Fi router is dual-band, you can switch the router frequency to 5GHz, which will also help to solve the interference problem.

4. No more than 2 walls between the parent unit and baby unit in a Straight distance.

What is VOX mode?

VOX mode is a voice reactive mode in baby monitor. It is a highly convenient feature in baby monitors, leveraging the latest advancements in voice recognition technology. In VOX mode, the monitor screen will be dark when the camera stays at a quiet volume level for 30 seconds. During this standby period, the video feed is temporarily paused. However, the microphone remains active, constantly monitoring for any sounds in baby room. The screen will wake up and video run again when the camera detect sounds above VOX level( VOX-H: 60db±3 VOX-M: 65db±3 VOX-L: 70db±3). You can hear both the camera in scan mode at same time. The sound loops between cameras every 10 seconds.

Can I watch my camera on phone? No. It is not a wifi camera.
