Does not block the battery and memory access, it allows you access the battery and memory without taking it off.
The bottom of the grip adopts Arca Swiss Type quick release plate design and you can mount this grip to Arca Swiss System tripods directly. Or your can mount it to other tripods or devices via the 1/4"-20 tripod socket.
An extra hole on the right side of baseplate allows you put on a hand strap to your camera as well. Moreover, this hand grip allows you to connect the JJC HS-ML1M hand strap (sold separately).
This will be a very useful tool for anyone with medium, large and up size hands or those who were used to using large DSLR and longer heavier lenses.
