●If you have ever tried to assemble a pen without some sort of press or jig, then you know how difficult it can be. Keeping the pieces and parts together and in line can be a chore all on its own. This pen press eliminates those typical headaches when assembling pens. From the tip to the caps and most everything in between, this press will help you produce wonderful looking and properly working pens each and every time you use it.
●The press can exert up to 30 pounds of pressure when pressing pens. This is more than enough for most any pen style. Usually when pressing pen parts we start with the tip and work our way back so to speak to the cap and clip. This press handles all of those assembly steps and it can do it with just the right amount of pressure each time
●The adjustable assembly rod can be adjusted in and out to accept most any length of pen barrel. Simply loosen the large, easy to handle knob to make any adjustments as needed. You can even adjust the aluminum toggle stop in and out to micro adjust to just the right amount of distance or pressure needed for your pen.
●The pen press is mounted to a solid piece of anodized extruded aluminum. This provides you with enough surface area to easily clamp the pen vise to a workbench or table top. The aluminum base measures approximately 15¾” in length and is 3” wide. The max distance between the toggle stop and the UHMW stop is approximately 6 -5/8”.
●Included with the pen press are two wooden dowels. The dowels fit neatly into the center hole on the UHMW pressure stop. Each dowel protrudes out of the UHMW pressure stop to act as a holder for the pen barrel. It’s the perfect way to keep the barrel in place without having to hold in place with your fingers! This pen press is the perfect addition for any pen turner who needs to be precise when assembling pens!

Smooth, Easy Operation...
This pen press is simplistic in design but functions exactly as it was meant to do. When pressing your pens, you dont want any sort of sudden or jerky movements. Our pen press provides you with an easy way of assembling your pens. The press operates very smoothly and allows you to place précised amounts of pressure on you pen parts as needed. This come in especially handy when pressing the pen mechanism into place. The mechanism can only go in so far and unlike the tip, cap and clip, there is no physical stopping point. All there is, is a groove around the mechanism tube. The press allows you to slowly press the mechanism right into place without pushing it in past the mark.
Included dowels to Keep Barrel Upright
Two wooden dowels are included. The dowels fit right into the predrilled hole on the UHMW pressure stop. Each dowel will protrude outward from the stop in order to hold the barrel in a horizontal position. This is a big help when pressing the cap and clip into the barrel.

The Pen Press is an absolute pen turning necessity that every wood turner should have. It not only helps assemble your pens, but it does it in a manner designed to be delicate with your pens. This pen press will exert up to and about 30 pounds of pressure which is more than enough to press properly turned and aligned pens. If you pen is not properly aligned, we recommend making any necessary adjustments to make it align properly before using the pen press.
