Fabric n Stitch have created the 2nd kit in the series designed for beginners to advanced children. Theres something for all abilities.

There is so much to this kit. Create so many outfits including a wedding dress, dresses, bridesmaid dress, skirts, tops, pants, jeans, jackets, hat, bikini, mermaid skirt, tutu & more. If you are a beginner there are some beginners tips to help you.

With 9 pages of mix & match patterns (some unisex), a 30 page instruction booklet, begin creating Bohemian style & other designs for your beautiful doll or your own B & K dolls etc. The patterns are a little more advanced than the previous kit to learn to sew darts & add frills to tops and skirts, sew a jacket & more.

If youre a beginner still, you can also drape fabrics & hold together with ribbons & gems to create the design you would like.

Learn to draft new patterns PLUS: Learn to draft & sew your own wrap pants for yourself. (note fabric not included & sewing machine required).

These are a good way to start to learn to sew for yourself as they require minimal sewing for construction and more hemming the edges and creating the ties. You can make wrap pants or shorts, whichever you prefer. These ones were made in a lightweight linen fabric. Great for casual wear.

To create these you will:

Learn to take measurements
Learn to draft the pattern to make your own wrap pants or shorts.
Learn to sew them. (note fabric not included and sewing machine required)

Teaching a child to sew is an important skill to learn and watching them have the satisfaction of creating an item themselves - a skill a child can use throughout their life. If they only use it to sew on a button or repair an item of clothing, it may help extend the life of their clothes and other items then this kit has achieved its purpose!

FABRIC n STITCH was created in May 2020 making boutique style craft kits for kids. We wanted to create kits that could encourage children to use their imagination and creativeness to help them develop their skills further whilst having fun.
