The flat plate front cover easily locks onto the four stainless steel tabs, once installed onto the boat lift hoist. Assembly will require removing the boat lift hoist from the boat lift. Stainless Steel hardware is more durable in saltwater environments than metal. Fits most well-known brands of boat hoist covers. New style flat plate hoist covers require the mounting hardware kit.
