Attach multimeters one probe to kill switch wire, other to ground. Flip kill switch off; if resistance changes, switch is good.
Remove spark plug from cylinder. Then reattach it to spark plug boot.
Ground spark plug electrode on the engine block. Pull the recoil starter, check for spark.
Install a new spark plug, repeat Step-3. No spark means the ignition coil is bad.
