Easy to Use
STEP 1. Hang the bells on the door. Have your dog touch the bells with his or her nose; reward with a treat. Repeat this process each day until the behavior sticks.
STEP 2. Once your dog is comfortable touching the bells on the door, repeat the process but open the door and toss the treat outside for your dog to chase out the door.
STEP 3. When your dog needs to go out, bring them to the doorbells and ring the bells with their paw and give your dog a command, then open the door to let them go outside.
STEP 4. Over time, your dog will learn that ringing the bells means the door will open and he or she can go outside to believe himself or herself. Make sure that you do not distract your dog by mixing many of it’s your needs by ringing the bell. Let your dog understand that the purpose of ringing bell is for one specific purpose only.
